2019 NMSHA awards


NMSHA Members:

It’s time to submit nominations for the 2019 NMSHA awards. Please review the award criteria below and consider those who have contributed in each of these categories. Submit the name of your nominee(s) to Sandra Nettleton (along with rationale) at sandynet@unm.edu, by Monday, September 30th. Once nominations are in, awardees will be determined by 75% or majority board vote. Awards will be given out on October 26th at the annual NMSHA convention. Your assistance is greatly appreciated!

9.1. Honors of the Association

The Honors of the Association is an award recognizing distinguished contribution to the fields of speech, language and audiology and is the highest honor the Association can give. It may be presented to a Professional Member upon recommendation of the Honors Committee and approved by 75% vote of the Executive Board.

9.2. Fellowship of the Association

The Fellowship of the Association is an award recognizing professional or scientifi c achievement or outstanding service to the Association. It may be given to a Professional Member upon recommendation of the Honors Committee and approval by 75% vote of the Executive Board.

9.3. Community Service Award

The Community Service Award recognizes individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions in the areas of communication disorders and/or service to the Association. This award is reserved for nonprofessional members of the Association. Recommendations are made by the Honors Committee and require approval by majority vote of the Executive Board.
